Quests

Quests are optional, loosely designed educational journeys with a predetermined series of steps that a student will take to achieve a worthy goal, such as custom designing, printing, and using a tool on the 3D printer. Another example is participating in the local democratic process by researching, interviewing, and ultimately contacting local politicians about an important issue.

The Wilderland team will be developing a wide variety of quests that users can take on during their Independent Project time (although students are not forced to go on these quests; it must be of the student’s own volition).

In-progress and completed Quests will be displayed on a student’s public profile.

Badges are tokens of recognition given to students who have mastered certain subject areas. For example, once a student has passed through the entire Algebra course on Khan Academy, and an evaluation has been made, they will earn the Algebra Badge.
